Who we are...
On November 27th 2006, in Boise Idaho, I came up with an idea to reach out and help others for the holidays and the rest of the year. Many people are not aware of the help that is offered by their community. They generally only are aware of their government programs which sometimes fail for so many people who truly need the help. They don't know of the many other programs out there that can and will help them. And, so I created the group, "Gift of Giving" so that we as neighbors can share that information which too many is true wealth.

When I moved to Iowa for the summer to stay with family this site, giftofgiving.net, was then founded, May 8th 2007, and is intended to help many people for many reasons in all areas. America and the world are still alive and we can put our hearts together to form a community so strong we can do our part in conserving our planet and our love for our neighbors.

With the amount of responces I received and support through out the year I decided to continue to add to the services as planned. On November 30th 2007, In Norwalk Iowa, I started to upgrade the site to be more advanced with more options and to become self operating. The yahoo groups will be removed once the new forums are completely added, except for one which will be used for sponsoring a child or family, to introduced a new message board system to bring everything together and more features were added to this site. We also changed the name from Gift of Giving.net to Touched By Hearts.com.
In, June 2008, the site was launched and begun its start to get the word out. Though I am only one person, this takes time. I will be doing fundraisers and such to get funding for advertising on a national basis to help spread the word. If you would like to know of some ways to help - please enter here -.
